Job description

Our mission at Too Good To Go is to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. It's a big mission, and that's where you come in!

At Too Good To Go, you'll join a team that cares about developing strategic partnerships, making value-based decisions, and finding innovative solutions to the world's food waste crisis. You'll lead an elite team to elevate our U.S. growth and collaborate daily with world-class minds while doing work that's both high-impact and deeply meaningful.

The Role

As the Senior PR Manager, North America, you are capable of operating at a global scale while executing with local precision across the United States and Canada. This isn't just about managing press relations; it's about crafting a unified North American narrative that drives massive brand equity.

You will bridge the gap between traditional media and the emerging digital landscape, leveraging social platforms, digital audio, and video to amplify our mission. Whether you are getting your hands dirty pitching a lead story or directing an agency on a multi-market launch, you bring a sophisticated, integrated approach to modern communications. You're also curious about how the work contributes to the bottom line, going beyond vanity metrics.

Core Responsibilities

Multi-Market Global Strategy:

  • Design and lead an integrated PR strategy for North America, ensuring seamless brand consistency across both the US and Canada while respecting regional nuances.
  • Translate global brand objectives into high-impact regional campaigns that scale across borders.

Modern Media & Content Innovation:

  • Innovate beyond the press release, identifying creative ways to insert Too Good To Go into the cultural zeitgeist via influencers and digital-native platforms.
  • Drive a "digital-first" PR mindset, leveraging emerging media including social-led PR, digital video, and podcasts to reach new audiences where they live.

Strategic Media Relations:

  • Act as a powerhouse media practitioner, maintaining high-level relationships with top-tier business, tech, and consumer outlets.
  • Lead the "in-house" pitching engine for high-priority announcements and provide strategic oversight for agency-led media outreach.

Data-Driven Impact & Attribution:

  • Establish a sophisticated measurement framework that moves beyond impressions to track PR's impact on business growth, user acquisition, and brand sentiment.
  • Utilize data insights to pivot strategies in real-time and justify PR spend through ROI-focused reporting.

Agency & Team Orchestration:

  • Manage and hold regional PR agencies accountable to high-performance standards, ensuring they act as a true extension of the in-house team.
  • Collaborate with Global HQ and cross-functional US/Canada leadership to ensure PR is a core pillar of the broader marketing mix.

Requirements

  • Experience in PR and Communications, with a proven track record of managing strategies across multiple countries simultaneously (specifically US and Canada).
  • Deep, existing relationships with national media and a demonstrated ability to secure top-tier coverage through direct, in-house pitching.
  • Expert knowledge of the evolving media landscape, including how to integrate PR with social media, digital video, and audio/podcasting strategies.
  • Highly analytical mindset with experience using advanced PR measurement tools to connect earned media results to overall business KPIs.
  • Ability to balance high-level strategic planning with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" execution style in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences; native-level English proficiency is required.
  • A genuine passion for sustainability and the drive to use PR as a tool for environmental change.
