Job description

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support the marketing team with digital marketing, social media, content, campaign coordination, and community marketing projects. This role is ideal for a current college student interested in gaining hands-on experience within a mission-driven senior living organization.

This is a full-time summer internship, with the opportunity to continue during the school year at approximately 10โ€“15 hours per week. The role is based out of Benchmarkโ€™s Waltham, MA office, with an expectation of being in the office three days per week over the summer, and two days remote.

$25/HR

The Marketing Intern will assist with day-to-day marketing activities, help organize campaign materials, support digital and social media efforts, and contribute to initiatives that promote Benchmark communities and strengthen brand awareness. The role will also include project-based work, giving the intern the opportunity to support specific marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support campaign coordination, project tracking, and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with updating and organizing marketing materials, including flyers, presentations, and digital assets.
  • Assist with scheduling and monitoring social media content across platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor.
  • Support website updates, email marketing tasks, and basic content management.
  • Conduct research on competitors, local markets, events, social trends, and marketing best practices.
  • Support special projects, campaigns, events, and cross-functional initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Interest in digital marketing, social media, branding, content creation, and campaign coordination.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office; experience with Canva, social media platforms, HubSpot, or project management tools is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Interest in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or mission-driven marketing preferred.
