Job description

Are you passionate about digital marketing and eager to gain real-world experience? Associated Grocers, Inc. is seeking a Digital Marketing Intern to work closely with our Digital Services Manager on a variety of marketing projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, email marketing, and more.

We’re looking for a proactive, creative, and motivated individual who stays on top of digital trends and is excited to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Management: Assist in updating website content, conducting regular reviews, and analyzing performance data.
  • Social Media: Support the day-to-day management of our social media channels, including content creation, scheduling posts, data collection, and monitoring engagement.
  • Email Marketing: Help coordinate and execute email campaigns using Mailchimp, including building newsletters and tracking results.
  • Content Creation: Partner with the broader Marketing team to develop digital content (including text, images, and video) for monthly and seasonal promotions.
  • Reporting: Assist in generating reports on the performance of our digital marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work with our retail members and internal teams to ensure the successful

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently a 3rd or 4th-year student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Advertising, Communications, or a related field. Familiarity with basic design principles and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or basic HTML/CSS) is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and platforms.       

Required Skills & Experience

1. Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn) and scheduling tools (e.g., HootSuite).
2. Basic Experience with a website content management system (e.g., WordPress) & Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
3. Basic knowledge of website technologies, including HTML/CSS/JS
4. Familiarity with email marketing software (e.g., MailChimp)
5. Experience with graphic design, video editing, and related software (e.g., Adobe Creative Site, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Canva).
6. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana)
7. An interest in and willingness to adapt to new technologies, including AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Grok, Gemini)
