PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing digital marketing briefs for upcoming projects and will liaise with program managers to ensure a firm marketing plan is established during the entire planning process
  • Serve as the company’s “digital storyteller,” possessing the ability to translate large, often complex, concepts into consumable and effective sound bites on our digital platforms
  • Responsible for digital metrics setting and tracking, competitive analysis, and reporting to ensure we successfully manage our digital channels and expand our marketing reach
  • Review existing operational processes and developing plans for improvement and creating new processes where needed
  • Create and execute the overall digital marketing strategy and build and execute digital marketing plan
  • Think strategically to translate large concepts into consumable sound bites for social channels
  • Copywriting and content creation for websites and social media accounts
  • Manage, improve, and provide analysis of online content, considering SEO and Google Analytics
  • Measure ROI and KPIs
  • Prepare and manage digital marketing budget
  • Engage in media monitoring and social listening, communicating results to leadership, such as reports, dashboards, or presentations
  • Monitor competition and provide suggestions for improvement and advise the team on issues, trends and emerging digital marketing platforms and services
  • Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated skills in digital strategy development
  • Proficient in WordPress, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google Analytics
  • Ability to strategically communicate with differing audiences
  • High level of communication skills – written and oral
  • Ability to maintain workflow of several projects simultaneously under the pressure of multiple deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative in problem solving and decision-making
  • Defense or military experience is highly desired for this position
  • Knowledge of graphical tools in Adobe Suite and use them to develop assets for social media and website content
  • Experience developing short form/social video a plus

PHYSICAL EFFORT

  • Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Physical Location: This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises
  • Teamwork: This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplace
  • Listening Skills: This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately
  • Ability to follow instructions: Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competently
  • Methodical approach: Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production line
  • Concentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
