Summary:

The Paid Media Strategist I plays a key role in executing and optimizing paid media campaigns that drive traffic, conversions, and positive ROI to Resurgent's business. Working closely with internal stakeholders, content partners, and external consultants, this employee will manage campaigns within Google Ads and Microsoft Ads while developing expertise in campaign strategy, performance analysis, audience targeting, the search landscape, and budget optimization. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on paid media experience who is eager to grow from campaign execution into strategic planning, experimentation, and channel expansion. The position reports to the Sr. Director, Digital Experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Launch, monitor, and optimize paid media campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.

  • Execute campaign changes including bid adjustments, keyword management, audience creation, and ad creation.

  • Analyze campaign performance at a high-level and provide insights related to traffic, conversions, return on investment, and other key performance indicators.

  • Partner with external consultants and internal subject matter experts to accelerate learning, improve campaign performance, and build internal paid media expertise.

  • Collaborate with content strategists, portal analysts, and other internal stakeholders to develop effective advertising assets and campaign messaging.

  • Write and refine ad copy when needed to support campaign goals and business priorities.

  • Reconcile monthly invoices from each platform and submit to accounting.

  • Monitor search trends, competitor activity, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for growth and performance improvement.

  • Monitor Resurgent and our owner entities in the search landscape with a lens toward AI Search visibility and generative engine optimization (GEO).

  • Stay informed on product updates, new platform capabilities, policy changes, and emerging features within Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.

  • Research emerging acquisition channels, including social media advertising, influencer partnerships, and other paid media opportunities, and prepare recommendations for future testing.

  • Build knowledge around the accounts receivable industry and how Resurgent Capital Services' marketing strategies compare to others in the industry.

  • Support the Digital Experience teams with overflow or ad hoc projects as business needs require.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience required in paid media, digital advertising, performance marketing, or a related field

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing campaigns within Google Ads and Microsoft Ads required

  • Understanding of core paid media concepts including keyword strategy, audience targeting, bidding strategies, conversion tracking, and campaign optimization

  • Ability to analyze campaign performance and communicate findings in a clear, actionable manner

  • Experience with Meta Ads, Reddit Ads, or other paid social platforms preferred

  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Figma, or other marketing analytics and creative tools preferred

  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to research new marketing channels, advertising opportunities, and platform capabilities

  • Ability to work well with others and in cross functional teams

  • Able to articulate thoughts, ideas and opinions professionally in written and verbal communication

  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to multitask and appropriately prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment

  • Passion for both marketing and analytics

  • Highly motivated and independent
