Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Digital Design Engineer to support the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and circuit card assemblies for advanced missile systems.
This role is focused on full lifecycle digital hardware design, from early requirements and block diagram development through complete hardware design, verification, lab checkout, and production support. The engineer will support complex, multi-layer circuit card assemblies involving processors, FPGAs, memory devices, and high-speed digital interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and integrate digital electronic modules and circuit card assemblies.
  • Develop digital hardware designs involving processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry-standard interfaces.
  • Take hardware concepts from requirements or block diagram level through complete design, test, and integration.
  • Create and analyze hardware requirements for circuit card and multi-assembly system designs.
  • Perform parts selection, trade studies, and component-level design evaluations.
  • Develop hardware architectures, block diagrams, and supporting design documentation.
  • Execute schematic capture and support the physical PCB layout process.
  • Apply design constraints for complex, multi-layer circuit card assemblies.
  • Use design, analysis, and simulation tools to validate designs prior to hardware build.
  • Perform lab checkout, integration, debug, and verification using test plans and lab equipment.
  • Support transition of hardware designs from development into production.
  • Collaborate with software, FPGA, layout, systems, test, and production teams to resolve design and integration issues.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in electronics circuit design and development.
  • Experience with digital electronics design for complex systems, units, or multi-assembly hardware.
  • Ability to take a design concept from requirements or block diagram level through full hardware development and verification.
  • Experience with PCB design processes, including schematic capture, layout coordination, design analysis, and simulation.
  • Background developing complex, multi-layer circuit card assemblies.
  • Experience applying PCB design constraints during circuit card development.
  • Familiarity with software or FPGA development.
  • Experience supporting programs from development into production.
  • Hands-on experience with lab checkout, hardware integration, debug, and test execution.
