What will you do as a Business Development Manager?
As a Rollstock Business Development Manager, you will drive growth of Sealed Air's Food Packaging rollstock portfolio across the Western Region by combining technical expertise with customer-facing business development and sales support. You will partner with Territory Account Managers and Technical Service Representatives to support customer projects, identify new opportunities, recommend the right materials and structures based on customer applications, and lead product trials and qualification testing at customer locations using HFFS and VFFS equipment. You will serve as a subject matter expert on rollstock materials, structures, formulations, and equipment, helping customers troubleshoot applications and identify equipment or process adjustments when needed. You will also collaborate with Marketing and ADS to support new programs, products, and competitive information while qualifying and communicating value opportunities internally and externally. This role will require approximately 50% overnight travel and is ideally based in the Dallas-Fort Worth / Central Texas area.

  • Build relationships across different levels of customer organizations, from business owners and decision-makers to equipment operators and technical teams.
  • Qualify and quantify customer value opportunities and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Partner with Marketing, ADS, Sales, and Technical Service to support new products, programs, and market opportunities.

  • Strong knowledge of rollstock products, materials, formulations, and packaging structures.
  • Strong understanding of how rollstock materials are formed and sealed.
  • Familiarity with rollstock equipment and major equipment manufacturers in the marketplace.
  • Ability to understand equipment operation and identify basic mechanical or process adjustments.
  • Experience working with HFFS and VFFS equipment.
  • Ability to recommend packaging structures based on the application and product being packaged.
  • Knowledge of competitive rollstock products, materials, and technologies.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong ability to identify, qualify, and develop business opportunities.
  • Strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% overnight.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; degree in Packaging or a related technical discipline is a plus.
  • Experience in the packaging or plastics industry, particularly with rollstock or plastic materials on a roll, is highly valued.

Pay Transparency
$98,700 - $142,485 annually
