The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

SPA's Strategic Division's Strategic Development Group (SDG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering support, Systems Safety support and Financial Analysis support. SDG is hiring immediately for a Digital Development and Integration Lead at Maritime Plaza in Washington, D.C.

Washington D.C. Pay Transparency Salary range:  $140,000 - $160,000

Responsibilities

The Digital Development and Integration Lead will lead the development and implementation of various data tools and road-maps for maturing digital and AI tools across SDG, to include deploying open-source and client led tools and developing the digital infrastructure to support the delivery of these capabilities.

For our clients, the lead will work with SDG program managers to ensure tool development aligns with client needs and use cases. Internally to SDG, the lead will play a key role in the automation of business processes and work-flows and the establishment of information sharing and collaboration portals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work at Maritime Plaza in Washington D.C.
  • U.S. Citizen with DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years leading digital tool development, integration, and AI adoption, including ETL challenges and solutions.
  • Experience developing tools in data-science-focused languages (e.g., Python, R) and using Jupyter, Anaconda, RStudio, plus working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete plans and deliverables.
  • Comfortable interfacing with and integrating client, business, and technical stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience leading teams in core data science work, including descriptive/exploratory analysis, data visualization, statistical inference, and predictive modeling using machine learning.
  • Professional knowledge of cross-disciplinary analytical methods and techniques (e.g., optimization, stochastic simulation) to optimize systems and processes.
