Job description

A growing, full-service law firm with a strong presence across Texas and the Gulf Coast region is seeking an on-site Marketing & Business Development Manager to support strategic growth initiatives, particularly in the Houston market. This role offers a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, working closely with attorneys and firm leadership to drive visibility, client development, and market expansion.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for leading and executing marketing and business development strategies across multiple levels of the organization, including individual attorneys, practice groups, and office initiatives. The position works closely with firm leadership and a collaborative, multi-office marketing team to support client development, branding, and growth efforts.
This is a 100% on-site role primarily at our Houston, TX office with flexibility to work at our The Woodlands, TX office once a week or as needed by the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing and business development strategies across attorneys, practice groups, and offices
  • Partner with attorneys to support individual business development goals, including pitches, proposals, and client initiatives
  • Conceptualize and manage client-facing events, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and networking opportunities
  • Oversee regional marketing efforts, including media relations, external communications, and industry engagement
  • Identify opportunities for thought leadership, visibility, and market expansion through research and analysis
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials, including practice descriptions, experience lists, and attorney biographies
  • Manage digital content across website, blogs, and social media platforms to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Support client development teams with pitch preparation, materials development, and presentation coordination
  • Maintain and oversee CRM databases, contact lists, and marketing infrastructure
  • Assist with legal directory submissions, rankings, and survey responses
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with attorneys, leadership, and marketing team members across offices
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5–7 years of professional services marketing experience (legal industry preferred)
  • Experience supporting business development initiatives, including proposals and client engagement strategies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft high-quality business materials
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
