Training & Development Manager

7G Environmental Compliance Management

Tallahassee, FL • On-site

$52K - $68K/yr

Full-time

Job description

Description:Training & Development Manager - UST/AST Environmental Compliance
  • Location: Hybrid (Remote or In-Person in Tallahassee, FL)
  • Compensation: $52,000 to $68,000/year (Based on experience)
Who We Are

At 7G Environmental Compliance Management, we are the go-to specialists for UST/AST inspections and strict regulatory compliance. We don't just meet the standard—we set it. We are dedicated to environmental safety, compliance, and operational excellence. But we know we are only as strong as our people. That’s why we’re looking for a dynamic Training & Development Manager to partner directly with the CEO and Human Resources. Your mission is two-fold: To design, build, and run the ultimate learning engine for every single seat in our company, and oversee the training and development curriculum of all compliance inspectors. If you love taking complex, technical processes and turning them into engaging, digestible learning experiences, this seat was made for you.

What We Do (Our Specialization)

7G is a premier leader in Underground Storage Tank (UST) and Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) inspections. We specialize in navigating the complex web of Federal EPA and state-specific regulations to keep our clients protected, compliant, and operating safely. As our Training Manager, you will be the guardian of this specialized technical knowledge, transforming complex environmental codes into world-class training programs.

Why You’ll Love This Seat

This isn't your average, dusty corporate training job. You will have a massive, tangible footprint on our company culture and growth.

  • Build It From Scratch: You will work side-by-side with HR to build out training curriculums and professional development paths from the ground up.
  • Mentor and Train New Inspectors: You will oversee the training and development of all new compliance inspectors, along with mentoring and re-training seasoned inspectors and in the field managers.
  • Best of Both Worlds: Work comfortably from your home office, but keep your skills sharp with field-based coaching and training.
Requirements:What You’ll Own

Using the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework, you’ll own three primary buckets of success:

  • The Onboarding Runway: Welcome and guide every new inspector from Day 1 to their first solo, successful UST or AST inspection. You are their mentor, coach, and cheerleader.
  • Company-Wide Curriculum Design: Map out the training manuals, digital e-learning courses, and interactive training modules for all departments.
  • Compliance & Progress Tracking: Keep our technical certifications flawless. You will track license completions and distribute weekly progress scorecards to our leadership team.
  • On-the-Ground Coaching: Spend time in the field working side-by-side with inspectors to audit skills, test equipment, and refine best practices.
Are You the Perfect Fit?
  • You "Get" It: You naturally understand the technical, regulatory, and safety-first logic of environmental compliance. You know how to pace training so it sticks.
  • You "Want" It: You are genuinely energized by watching others succeed. Designing clean slides, building digital courses, and stepping out into the field to mentor a new hire sounds like a perfect week to you.
  • You Have the "Capacity": You have the technical aptitude to master (and teach) equipment like Veeder-Root, Franklin EVO, and various state/federal regulatory codes.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in training, managerial, and UST/AST inspection experience.
  • Ability to read, translate, and explain complex safety/technical rules in simple, engaging terms.
  • High tech-literacy (we run on Mac, iOS, iPads, and specialized compliance software).
  • Physical ability to work in the field (which includes lifting up to 100 lbs and working in various outdoor weather conditions).
  • Regulatory Mastery: Deep understanding of Federal EPA, state UST/AST rules, and local environmental compliance frameworks.
  • Technical Certifications: This seat owns the roadmap to getting our team certified in Veeder-Root Level 4, Franklin EVO, ICC (International Code Council)
