Hybrid – Gurnee IL

Who We Are:

PurposeBuilt Brands, rooted in a legacy dating back to Weiman, stands as a pioneer in crafting top-tier products for specialty surfaces. Our beloved brands, including 30 Seconds, Harris, Weiman, Goo Gone, Green Gobbler, Biokleen, Mighty Mint, Urnex, Five Star, and Micro-Scientific, are preferred choices among consumers and seasoned professionals alike.

At PBB, we seek to hire employees who bring a level of engagement, drive, and performance that pushes business forward. We work together and are motivated by positive results, while continuously thriving in a scrappy environment. We believe our greatest assets are the talented and passionate employees who are motivated by our purposeful work. Our company may be 60 years old, but the real growth is just getting started.

The Role:

PurposeBuilt Brands is building a modern content and product-data backbone — Digital Asset Management (DAM), Product Information Management (PIM), and retail/e-commerce syndication. The Sr. Digital Asset & Product Information Manager will own that program end to end: selecting and implementing the platforms, integrating them with existing systems, and leading the organizational change required to operate in a more automated, governed, single-source-of-truth model.

The role launches with the DAM, then sequences into PIM and syndication. It is equal parts technical program leadership and change leadership; you will decide how the company will create, manage, govern, and distribute brand and product content going forward.

What You Will Do: Platform Implementation (Phased)
  • Lead end-to-end implementation, starting with the DAM: requirements, vendor selection, configuration, taxonomy and metadata model, rights/usage management, asset migration, and go-live.
  • PIM (tool and timing TBD): evaluate, select, and sequence a PIM — product data model, attribute governance, enrichment workflows, and channel readiness.
  • Syndication (tool and timing TBD): evaluate and stand up syndication to retail and e-commerce endpoints, automating distribution, and reducing manual content submission.
  • Own the RFP, statements of work, and management of implementation partners and system integrators.
  • Define and deliver integrations across ERP, e-commerce, web/CMS, creative tools, and analytics.
  • Establish the single-source-of-truth architecture and data flow for assets and product information.
  • Partner with IT and Security on access, SSO, data governance, and platform administration.
Change Management & Adoption
  • Own the change strategy: stakeholder mapping, communications, training, and adoption tracking.
  • Redesign content and product-data workflows; eliminate manual, duplicative, and off-system processes.
  • Build and lead a cross-functional governance model across brand, marketing, sales, e-commerce, supply chain, and IT.
  • Drive measurable adoption across all brands and functions.
Program & Project Management
  • Run the program: roadmap, milestones, budget, resourcing, risks, and dependencies.
  • Manage scope, timeline, and quality across internal teams and external partners.
  • Report status, decisions, and risks directly to Digital Transformation leadership.
  • Make and own the critical decisions on how PBB creates, manages, governs, and distributes content and product data.
  • Define roles, accountabilities (RACI), and standards for the new operating model.
  • Establish and enforce taxonomy, metadata, and data-quality standards.
  • Audit assets, manage permissions, troubleshoot, and train users.
  • Lead a direct and matrixed team plus external implementation partners.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance against SLAs and budget.

Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

What You Will Bring:
  • 5+ years in digital content operations, martech/product-data systems, or digital transformation, including hands-on leadership of DAM and/or PIM implementations.
  • End-to-end ownership of at least one enterprise DAM or PIM implementation — selection through adoption.
  • Strong systems-integration fluency (ERP, e-commerce, CMS, APIs); able to lead technical decisions without being the developer.
  • Proven change-management and program-management track record at enterprise scale.
  • Experience with content and product data in a multi-brand consumer products and omnichannel retail environment.
  • Excellent executive communication; comfortable owning decisions and driving cross-functional alignment.
Preferred
  • CPG / consumer products background; familiarity with retailer and marketplace syndication requirements (e.g., GDSN, retailer portals, Amazon).
  • Taxonomy/metadata design and data governance experience.
Compensation Range:

$135,000-$165,000

What We Offer:
