The Digital Copywriter and Content Specialist is responsible for creating compelling, customer-focused digital content that elevates brand presence, supports marketing initiatives, and drives engagement across digital channels. This role develops written assets such as website copy, blog articles, email content, social media posts, and press releases. The ideal candidate combines strong writing skills with an understanding of SEO/GEO/AI, digital marketing best practices, and audience insights.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Write clear, engaging, and on-brand content for websites, landing pages, blogs, emails, social media, press releases, digital ads, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Create content that aligns with brand voice, style guidelines, and business objectives.
  • Develop long-form and short-form content tailored to specific campaign goals and audience needs.
  • Optimize content for SEO/GEO using keywords, metadata, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with designers, digital marketers, and product teams to refine messaging and improve content performance and layout presentation
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to understand campaign goals and translate them into digital content.
  • Work closely with Content Strategist to support content planning, calendar management, and publication schedules
  • Create content testing plans and interpret analytics and adjust content accordingly
  • This role will report to the Director of Lead Generation for the Home Energy business
  • This role will work closely with the Home Energy Content Strategist on strategic messaging and tactics
  • This role will partner closely with the consumer advertising team and digital experience team to ensure the content is written and designed to achieve business goals with respect to lead generation, website experience and optimization, and email communications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5+ years of experience writing digital content for brands, agencies, or publishers.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, social tools, and marketing technology.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

The Salary range for this position is $66,300.00-$83,500.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
