Job Overview:

Are you passionate about social media, content creation, and building brands people connect with?

We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist to grow and elevate the social media presence of our family of brands. This role will develop and manage engaging content and social strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging channels.


The ideal candidate has experience building online communities, creating high-performing content, and increasing brand awareness and engagement. While social media is the primary focus, this role will also support digital marketing efforts including SEO, Google Analytics, paid advertising, and website optimization.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the strategy, planning, creation, and growth of social media content across multiple brands and platforms.
  • Develop engaging, platform-specific content including graphics, photography, reels, short-form videos, stories, and other digital content.
  • Capture photo and video content at company events, trade shows, product launches, customer visits, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Build and engage online communities by monitoring channels, responding to comments and messages, and maintaining each brand’s voice.
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies, and bring new ideas to the marketing team.
  • Analyze social media performance and use engagement, reach, audience growth, and campaign results to recommend improvements.
  • Support paid digital advertising across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
  • Assist with SEO, keyword research, website optimization, and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Use Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and other reporting tools to monitor performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create authentic content featuring products, customers, employees, company culture, and initiatives.
  • Support photography, basic video editing, image editing, and creative asset development as needed.
  • Attend industry trade shows and company events as needed, with travel up to approximately 25%.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and digital content best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop social media strategies that increase engagement, audience growth, and brand awareness.
  • Strong creative skills in content development, photography, video, visual storytelling, and short-form video.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, copywriting, and editing skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute creative ideas from concept through completion.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple brands and priorities.
  • Experience using social media analytics and reporting tools to measure performance and improve results.
  • Knowledge of paid digital advertising, SEO, Google Analytics, and website optimization preferred.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, AI-powered marketing tools, or similar creative platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the animal health industry is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.


Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Two or more years of professional experience managing social media for a business, agency, or organization.
  • Demonstrated success growing social media audiences, increasing engagement, and creating high-performing content.
  • Portfolio or examples of previous social media campaigns, content creation, or digital marketing work strongly preferred.
  • Experience with digital marketing, paid advertising, SEO, Google Analytics, or website marketing is preferred.
  • Experience with photography and/or video creation is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a creative, fast-paced marketing team.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to perform regular bending, twisting, and lifting to shelves.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds and push and/or pull at times.
