POSITION IDENTIFICATION

Position Title: Digital Campaign Specialist                                                                                           

Division: Sales

Department: Business Development/Custom Solutions           

Location: Santa Ana   

Full/Part Time: Full time

Salary: $42k-$50k


PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Campaign Specialist is responsible for fulfilling digital campaign orders on internal and third party platforms, tracking, monitoring, and optimizing digital campaigns, and reviewing and analyzing post campaign reports.  

The Campaign Specialist will be an expert on our selection of multi-media products such as Display, Real Time Bidding, SEO, SEM, Email Marketing, and Social Media. 

The Campaign Specialist must have an acute understanding of the client's needs and goals and should be aware of where the competition stands. The Campaign Specialist is expected to keep up on and understand market trends, have insight into what motivates the target customer, and stay current on the features and benefits of all Freedom News Group digital products and services.

The Campaign Specialist will work closely with the Account Executives, Digital Sales Specialists, and the Ad Ops team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment and order entry of campaigns. And to extract data, reports, and analytics from platforms like DFP, Google Analytics, and third party vendor systems to make recommendations for campaign renewals and upsells. 


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports To: Director, Digital Advertising


ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

Day-to-day management of digital campaigns, pacing, execution details, and communication with sales team, Ops team, third party solutions vendors, and clients.

Maintains familiarity with the history, current media buy, present organization, and procedures of the client, as well as conditions of their industry.

Works closely with the Sales team to gather and evaluate client needs and then deliver market data and trends as necessary for the preparation of campaign recommendations that best fit customer's objectives and strategies.

Reviews and evaluates proposed campaign with the Account Executive to ensure that the media plan and recommendations are efficient and effective before it is presented to the client.

Determines the appropriate recommendation for the client upon review of our product portfolio which includes either pre-packed or custom solutions depending on the nature and the needs of the client.

Alerts Account Executive if roadblocks arise that may prevent delivering the proposal by deadline. Positions data and analytics from campaigns to make recommendations for renewals and upsells.

Presents plans to client with the Account Executive as needed.

Maintains good working relationships with Advertising Sales, Creative Services, and Business Intelligence's team members.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Strong working knowledge of the digital and mobile media space.

Strong working knowledge of media research terminology and the ability to interpret data

Understand concepts of reach, frequency, page-views, audience, advanced targeting, and ROI.

Strong analytical skills and ability to relate results to client business objectives

Computer literacy with all Microsoft programs with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.

Good writing and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills).

Must be able to able to effectively communicate with Account Executive and Operations staff.

Organization and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Must be creative and able to 'think outside of the box'

Quick thinker with the ability and to tack problems with solid decision-making skills

Qualifications

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent relevant experience.


Experience: 

Min. of 2 years of digital media experience required. Experience at a digitally oriented agency preferred.
