Job description

Class Description The purpose of this class is to provide support to meet the technical video-related needs of the Communication Arts Studio, Digital Media Production and Mass Communication faculty and program. Minimum Requirements Associate's degree in mass communication, digital media or other related field and a. minimum of two years of experience with Studio, Audio, Production, Video Production, Filmmaking and/or other related experience is required.

Bachelor's degree is preferred. This position is based on the Catonsville campus. Class Specific Essential Duties Support the technical and video related needs of Digital Media Production and Mass Communication classes, instructors, the Communication Arts department and SOAC.

Assist faculty with videotaping, transferring materials, uploading videos and editing. Follow security procedures related to the Communication Arts Studio classroom, studio area, control room, audio room, edit stations and equipment cage. Maintain inventory and organize equipment and materials in the Communication Arts Studio classroom, studio area, control room, audio room, edit stations, and equipment cage.

Responsible for ongoing control and adherence to studio policy, edit station policy and equipment check-in and check-out procedures. Required availability includes specific daytime and evening hours; schedule flexibility is limited due to student support needs. Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.

There will be other duties as assigned.
