Job description

The Gastonia Ghost Peppers are seeking a creative, motivated, and passionate Photography & Videography Intern for the 2026 season. This hands-on opportunity provides valuable experience within a professional baseball organization and is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build a portfolio in sports photography, social media, digital content creation, and sports marketing.
Timeline: Now - September 2026, or at the completion of the season
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in photography, social media, digital media, or content creation
- A portfolio demonstrating photography, social media, video, or other creative work
- Strong photography skills and an understanding of composition, lighting, and visual storytelling
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to capture engaging moments quickly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, live-event environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team
- Creativity and the ability to identify content opportunities without always being directed
Responsibilities:
- Capturing high-quality photography and vertical video content during home games, practices, team events, and community appearances
- Photographing players, coaches, fans, mascots, promotional events, theme nights, and game-day experiences
- Creating engaging photo selections and social content that showcase the Ghost Peppers' players, fans, and brand
- Assisting with content for theme nights, promotions, giveaways, and special events
- Editing and organizing photography and digital media assets
- Maintaining an organized archive of photos and other content throughout the season
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Sports Management, Video Production, or a related field
- Availability to work home games, select events, and designated office hours
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the baseball schedule
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or equivalent creative software
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality creative standards
- Strong interest in sports, photography, social media, and digital storytelling
- Personal camera equipment
- Reliable transportation to the ballpark and team events preferred
