Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Legacy Contingent - Artist, Game Capture to join their team. This is a remote position.
Summary:
As a part of Marketing Creative at the client, you will help lead our game capture efforts as a virtual in-game photographer, spearheading the creation of screenshots, gifs, design assets, and more for marketing, promotional and in-game usage. We are looking for unique creative voices from varied backgrounds to help our work truly stand out, so if you have incredible visual ideas and can take direction on shaping them to our brand's needs apply today!
Duties:
* Work as a virtual photographer, creating compelling cinematic images that tell a story, are on brand, and fit the brief
* Assist with our live event & consumer product photography projects, running point when required
* Explore creative new ways to photograph game content and create unique scenarios for standalone images, design assets, merchandise, and more, pushing the limits of what is possible in a virtual environment
* Help with the research and development of new in-game camera tools and capture processes
* Collaborate with Senior Artists, Creative Leads, and ACD's on creative concepts and overall project direction
* Communicate with our stakeholders regarding their feedback, working closely with our Producers, Designers, Editors, and other Capture Artists to ensure clarity and understanding
* Provide training, mentoring, and feedback to our team of artists
* Work with proprietary debug tools and troubleshoot technical issues, including builds, PC workstations, console dev kits, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
* College degree in the requisite field or equivalent work experience
* Advanced understanding of photography (composition, lighting, camera movement, etc.), able to take breathtaking photographs in virtual environments
* Advanced knowledge of cameras including depth of field, aperture, lenses, ISO, and sensor formats
* Able to effectively plan complicated action sequences involving the blocking and movement of player characters and camera positioning to find that perfect frame
* Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge and Capture One
* Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
* Strong communication skills
* A passion for photography, film, and other cinematic media
Nice to have:
* Video game industry or agency game capture experience
* Real-world experience in photography
* Experience working in a game editor environment using animation and/or camera sequencing tools such as Unreal Sequencer, Unity Cinemachine, or other similar proprietary tools
* Understanding of video game graphics technology: texturing, rigging, post-processing fx, light-baking, and Global Illumination
* Avid gamer on next-gen platforms and PCs
* Basic Familiarity with VFX/3D design programs such as After Effects, c4D, Maya, or Blender
* Understanding of game development, the full cycles, and processes behind how a game is made
* Familiarity with the motion capture process
* Interest in virtual production
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
