Who we are looking for

We are hiring a Digital Asset GD Transaction Services Specialist, Vice President, to be a Transaction Services subject matter expert, participating in workstreams to build digital asset operations within State Street's infrastructure. You will be responsible for sharing knowledge and expertise around current operational workflows, maintaining alignment to Transaction Services leadership, escalating any concerns to functional leadership, acquiring approvals of new models with functional leadership, and maintaining alignment with digital asset operations leadership. We expect this candidate to have a risk excellent mindset and be proficient establishing an effective control environment. The ideal candidate should understand digital asset concepts (blockchain knowledge, understanding of digital asset types, decentralized finance, tokenization, etc). At a minimum this candidate should have intellectual curiosity to learn about digital asset servicing. This role will have a dual reporting line to Transaction Services leadership and digital asset operations leadership.

What you will be responsible for

As a Digital Asset GD Transaction Services Specialist, Vice President, you will

  • Participate in workstreams as a trades subject matter expert for digital asset operations across a portfolio of value streams to deliver digital asset capabilities
  • Fosteralignment between value streams, manage interdependencies, and deliver value at an organizational level
  • Establish risk control procedures to ensure risk excellence across all capabilities
  • Partner with testing teamsto develop, test, and enhance capability development in UAT and Production
  • Manage risks, resources, and stakeholder communications across the workstream
  • Provide regular communication and reporting updates to ensure full transparency and clarity of workstream deliveryto both the functional leadership teams and digital asset operations leadership teams

What we value

  • Experience with trade clearing, settlement processing, trade reconciliations, monitoring fails, and managing the trade instruction lifecycle (amendments, cancellations)
  • Experience with cash settlement processing and reconciliations and investigating and clearing cash breaks within cut-off times
  • Familiarity with FX operations and supporting FX activities required for settlement and client cash needs (confirmations, value dates, SSIs)
  • Understanding of asset servicing processes for corporate actions, dividends, and income events, such as event capturing, settlement validation, booking and posting, reconciliations, and issue resolution
  • Client onboarding and account setup experience and ensuring accounts are set up correctly to be settlement-ready
  • Owning daily controls, reconciliations, and evidence retention and audit-ready documentation
  • Exposure to SWIFT and ISO 20022 messaging types
  • Experience with data mapping and data integration
  • Executing on a project as a critical stakeholder, including excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
  • 10-12+ years of experience across settlement, custody operations, corporate actions, FX operations and reconciliations
  • Strong knowledge of post-trade risk & controls, exception management and stakeholder communication
  • Working knowledge of SWIFT (and market messaging); familiarity with Bloomberg/Refinitiv and corporate actions platforms advantageous
  • Ability to excel when faced with the unknown and challenged to develop new ways
  • Excellent communication and escalation ability
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and external stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with digital assets and wallets, distributed ledger technology, tokenization is preferred
