Overview

Job Purpose

New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is building the infrastructure for the next era of capital markets. At the center of that effort is a digital asset trading initiative focused on secondary market trading in tokenized securities -and we are looking for a manager to lead product development and commercial strategy for this emerging business.

This role sits within the Data & Digital Asset Products organization and reports directly to the Head of Data & Digital Asset Products. It is a high-visibility, cross-functional position at the forefront of digital asset market structure - well-suited for someone who understands capital markets and regulated venues, can engage credibly with institutional market participants, and is motivated by the challenge of building something genuinely new within one of the world's most recognized exchange brands.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Platform Roadmap
    • Own and evolve the product roadmap for NYSE's digital asset trading platform, translating regulatory requirements, market developments, and client inputs into prioritized platform initiatives

    • Partner with technology, legal, compliance, and operations teams to define platform requirements and drive execution against key regulatory and commercial milestones

    • Monitor competitive and regulatory developments in digital asset market structure (SEC, FINRA, DTCC) and assess implications for platform strategy and positioning

  • Business Development & Ecosystem Partnerships
    • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with broker-dealers, custodians, liquidity providers, issuers, tokenization platforms, and technology vendors relevant to the digital asset trading ecosystem

    • Drive participant onboarding strategy, including outreach to prospective broker-dealer participants, market makers, and issuer relationships

    • Represent NYSE externally at industry forums, with institutional clients, and with prospective platform participants on digital asset market structure topics

  • Commercial Development & Revenue
    • Build business cases for new product initiatives, including financial modeling, go-to-market planning, and investment prioritization

    • Track and report on platform KPIs, commercial pipeline, and revenue performance for senior leadership

  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
    • Lead day-to-day coordination across legal, compliance, technology, operations, and sales teams to advance platform development and commercial milestones

    • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on digital asset market structure, tokenized securities, and the regulatory framework governing trading venues

    • Prepare materials for senior leadership, regulatory stakeholders, and external audiences on platform strategy and progress

Knowledge and Experience

  • 6-10+ years of experience in financial services, with meaningful exposure to equity market structure, trading venue operations, fintech, or digital asset platforms

  • Familiarity with the U.S. regulatory landscape for capital markets and trading venues (SEC, FINRA); exposure to emerging digital asset regulatory frameworks is a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to drive product or business initiatives from concept through launch in a complex, regulated environment

  • Experience in commercial roles - business development, partnerships, or revenue ownership - ideally within market infrastructure, fintech, or digital asset firms

  • Solid understanding of blockchain and distributed ledger technology concepts, tokenized asset mechanics, and on-chain settlement infrastructure

  • Excellent communicator; comfortable presenting to senior leadership, regulators, institutional clients, and external partners

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-moving environment

Why This Role

  • The tokenization of financial assets is reshaping how securities are issued, traded, and settled - and NYSE is building the infrastructure to support that transition. NYSE's digital asset trading initiative is focused on creating a credible, institutional-grade venue for secondary market trading in tokenized equities, backed by the full standing and brand recognition of the NYSE.
  • This is a rare opportunity to be at the center of that buildout - with direct exposure to senior leadership, regulators, and the ecosystem of participants defining what next-generation capital markets infrastructure looks like. The role offers genuine ownership, meaningful scope, and the chance to help build something that doesn't yet exist at scale anywhere in the market.
