Job description

Mike’s, Inc. is searching for a field generator technician. We are the Hipower Power Generation Distributorship for the Southern Illinois and Missouri Region. We have one position available for Generator Technicians to meet expanding customer needs. Mike's offers competitive pay based upon skill and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, service repairs and load bank testing on generators in the shop and in the field.
  •  Technician must furnish a complete set of tools.
  • Have a basic knowledge of common Power Generation products including diesel and natural gas engines, alternators and automatic transfer switches.
  • Complete preventative maintenance, inspection and service repairs on generators, diesel and natural gas / liquid petroleum engines and automatic transfer switches.
  •  Continually build good customer relationships and representation of Mike’s Inc.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, on the job and at the shop.
  •  Maintain clean vehicles including regular vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tires, repairs, etc.).
  •  Adhere to company safety practices and other policies and procedures.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Role:
