About our Company:

Ponte Vineyard Inn is a Four Diamond, 90 room, boutique hotel located next to Ponte Winery and are surrounded by 300 acres of mature vineyards and views of rolling hills. We are a short drive from most of Southern California and enjoy hosting folks who want a break from city life. Our guests visit us seeking a relaxing day or overnight stay in the country.

We have become the benchmark for great service among Temecula wineries. Our associates are dedicated to delighting guests by providing excellent hospitality and serving great wine and food in a beautiful environment.


Summary:

The Cellar Busser will primarily focus on maintaining dining area by clearing glasses and cleaning common area in a quick and efficient manner, while providing exceptional service.


Compensation: $16.90 hourly + Tips

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Promptly bring water to the table and replenish drinks before the guest has to request a refill.
  • Assist the server when needed with food delivery ensuring the food is served at the proper temperature and quality.
  • Pre bus table between courses including the removal or addition of any necessary tableware.
  • Clear tables after guests depart ensuring tables, chairs and floor are clean for next guests’ arrival.
  • Notify host/hostess and food server when table is ready to ensure efficiency is maintained in the restaurant area.
  • Empty linen bags, take out trash, organize dish area, polish glassware and other duties assigned by management.
  • Ensure that all duties are carried out before the end of shift.
  • Ability to focus for an entire shift, trouble shooting and prioritizing skills.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handlers Card is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Responsible Beverage Service Card is required.
  • Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous Busser experience preferred.
  • Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
  • Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
  • Must have excellent communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Must work well under pressure and to complete all assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a tray weighing up to 50 lbs. through a busy dining area.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work up to 8 hours per shift.
