Job description

The Supply Chain Coordinator is the operational owner of Black Diamond’s Retail-direct program, the direct-ship channel from select vendors to key retail-partners. The role manages the end-to-end order cycle, including forecast collection, purchase order validation in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, shipping schedule alignment between the retail-partner and the vendor, PO tracking across systems, and the final freight booking process.
As a secondary set of responsibilities, this role provides surge support to the broader apparel demand planning function, including forecast template management across regions and channels, forecast management, intercompany transfer support, and chase planning. The position is well suited to a detail-oriented self-starter who can own a recurring operational program end-to-end while flexing into broader planning work as bandwidth allows.

Qualifications

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
Alternative Qualification: 1 to 3 years of supply chain, demand or supply planning, or sales operations experience.
Work Experience

Required: Minimum 1 year in a supply chain, demand planning, supply planning, or sales operations role (e.g., supply chain analyst, planning coordinator, sales operations specialist).
Preferred:    Experience supporting customer-direct, drop-ship, or major-retailer partner programs is highly preferred.

Apparel or outdoor consumer goods experience, plus familiarity with ERP systems (NAV or comparable), Excel-based data validation, and international shipping documentation.
Core Skills:

•    Excellent organization and time management, with the ability to manage parallel deliverables on a fixed planning calendar.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and time zones.
•    Comfort working through ambiguity and shifting inputs during chase, off-season, and exception planning cycles.
•    Ability to attend occasional off-hours meetings with global teams and partners (Taiwan, EU).

Technical Knowledge:
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and template building for large data sets.
•    Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or a comparable ERP system.
•    Familiarity with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) tools, or willingness to learn.
•    Working understanding of demand planning, forecasting concepts, and basic supply chain principles preferred.

Other:
•    Interest or experience in climbing, mountaineering, or skiing is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
General physical requirements: Sustained computer work and ability to attend meetings
Visual acuity requirements: Close visual inspection
Motion and sensory requirements: Ability to perform basic motion and sensory requirements (balancing, standing, reaching, lifting, grasping, etc.)
Physical working conditions: Work performed primarily in an indoor environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Supply Chain Coordinator is authorized and responsible for performing all duties in accordance with Black Diamond’s Quality, Safety, and Employee policies and procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement:
1.    Build and distribute style-color and SKU-level forecasting templates for internal sales teams and external retail-direct partners.
2.    Reconcile SKU forecasts for completeness and quality, confirming all styles are accounted for, quantities total the overarching style-color forecast, and values are formatted properly.
3.    Coordinate retail-direct shipping schedules with retail-direct partners and internal teams to align POs to projected ship dates.
4.    Manage final packing list and freight booking processes for retail-direct partners.
5.    Provide secondary support to intercompany transfer planning, chase planning, and forecast management.
6.    Support validation of key planning and purchasing inputs such as the Bulk and SMS Line lists, ensuring accuracy in product attributes, vendor assignment, etc.
7.    Provide administrative and project support to the Senior Manager of Planning for Apparel and the broader supply chain team.
