Summary:ย 

In this role, you will support freight and transportation operations, analyze shipping data, help identify cost-saving opportunities, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain performance. This position offers hands-on exposure to carrier management, network optimization, reporting, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced business environment.ย ย 

Essential job functions:ย 

  • Support day-to-day shipping operations by coordinating with third-party carriers, helping ensure timely deliveries, and assisting with freight-related issue resolution.
  • Analyze transportation data, freight costs, and network trends to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings.
  • Assist with carrier sourcing, rate comparisons, and annual bid processes for transportation services including parcel, LTL, and truckload.
  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and summaries to help leadership, finance, and sales teams make informed supply chain and pricing decisions.ย ย 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support customer needs, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Learn fleet, compliance, and transportation processes while supporting vendor coordination, documentation, and operational follow-up as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts and build knowledge across multiple areas of the supply chain through training, collaboration, and hands-on experience.

    ย Additional Responsibilities:

    1. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

    1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement.
    2. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
    3. Strong data analytics skills.ย  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with reports, dashboards, and large sets of data.
    4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    5. Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within transportation, logistics, and broader supply chain functions.

    Education and Experience Required: Bachelorโ€™s or masterโ€™s degree in supply chain, business, logistics, operations, or a related field required.ย  Internship, co-op, or project experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or data analysis preferred.ย  Completion of data analytics course preferred.
