Dialysis Manager Job Description

Department: Dialysis Services

Reports To: Administrator and/or Director of Nursing

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Skilled Nursing Facility

Position Summary

The Dialysis Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and management of the facility dialysis program, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant dialysis services while promoting positive resident outcomes.

Qualifications

· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

· Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice required.

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

· Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

· Minimum three (3) years of dialysis nursing experience required.

· Minimum two (2) years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.

· Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, post-acute care, or rehabilitation settings preferred.

· Working knowledge of CMS Conditions for Coverage, ESRD regulations, state survey requirements, and infection prevention standards.

· Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and dialysis documentation systems.

· Ability to analyze clinical outcomes, quality indicators, and regulatory compliance data.
