What are Dexa Techs?

Dexa Techs, also known as DEXA Technologists or Bone Densitometry Technicians, are healthcare professionals who operate dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) machines to measure bone mineral density. They play a crucial role in diagnosing conditions like osteoporosis by performing scans and ensuring patient safety during the procedure. Dexa Techs also maintain equipment, prepare patients for exams, and sometimes assist with basic data analysis for physicians.
