Role Overviewย 

Theย Senior DevOps Engineerย is a key member of the Platform Engineering Analytics team, responsible for building andย maintainingย cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and continuous delivery pipelines that support scalable, high-quality SaaS products. This role combines hands-on AWS operations, DevOps automation, infrastructure management, and production support while driving improvements in deployment speed, reliability, and system performance. The Senior DevOps Engineer will also serve as a technical mentor and thought leader within the engineering organization.ย 

How Will You Make an Impact?ย 

  • Partner with the Content Analytics team to develop and execute DevOps-related initiatives and user stories.ย ย 
  • Design, build, andย maintainย AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, RDS, Kinesis, and CloudFormation.ย ย 
  • Manage Docker containers and containerized microservices environments.ย ย 
  • Build,ย maintain, andย optimizeย continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.ย ย 
  • Manage daily DevOps operations, including build systems, release management, and artifact repositories.ย ย 
  • Perform ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and support for production and non-production environments.ย ย 
  • Design and implement automated quality gates and release validation processes.ย ย 
  • Evaluate, prototype, and introduceย new technologiesย that improve automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.ย ย 
  • Troubleshoot production issues, performance bottlenecks, outages, and security incidents.ย ย 
  • Collaborate closely with agile development teams to improve software delivery processes.ย ย 
  • Mentor and train DevOps and Software Engineers on best practices and emerging technologies.ย ย 
  • Participate in occasional after-hours or weekend support whenย required.ย ย

Required Qualificationsย 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, orย a relatedย field (or equivalent experience).ย ย 
  • 6+ years of experience working within software development organizations.ย ย 
  • 3+ years of experience building and managing Docker containers and containerized microservices.ย ย 
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.ย ย 
  • Proficiencyย with scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Bash.ย ย 
  • Hands-on AWS experience, including:ย ย 
  • EC2ย ย 
  • S3ย ย 
  • CloudWatchย ย 
  • Lambdaย ย 
  • Kinesisย ย
