Job description

Purpose of the Job
The Seasonal Development Assistant will have two primary responsibilities. During performances, the Assistant will work directly with Freeman Arts Pavilion sponsors, volunteers, and staff to help manage the reserved seating area, assist in special sponsor events, verify sponsor credentials, manage entry into the VIP sponsor area and/or onto sponsor terrace and be a resource for sponsors and other patrons. The Assistant will also assist the Development Team with the overall implementation of live auctions and other special appeals for the Foundation’s fundraising events.
Anticipated Work Schedule
This position’s work schedule is event driven, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, from May to September.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Must be knowledgeable about Freeman Arts Pavilion, it’s programs, venue policies and safety plan and be able to communicate such information in a courteous manner to patrons of Freeman Arts Pavilion
• Must execute policies amp; procedures in accordance with Standards for Excellence accreditation and organizational best practices.
• Understand and adhere to the policies and information outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Execute policies amp; procedures in accordance with Standards for Excellence accreditation and organizational best practices.
• Assist with sponsorship credential verification at Freeman Arts Pavilion’s VIP Entrance. Assist with special sponsorship events and monitoring credentials on the VIP deck or in the venue as well as locating seats for sponsors and guests
• Must be knowledgeable with sponsor benefits as it relates to Freeman Arts Pavilion – reservation process for seats for shows, number of reserved seats sponsors receive, upcoming VIP deck promotions
• Administer and monitor distribution and use of VIP Guest Passes at performances
• Will directly interact with sponsors and are expected to provide exceptional service
• Assist in the solicitation, organization, and facilitation of the silent and live auctions for fundraising events.
Qualifications
• Must be 21 or older.
• Must possess or obtain Delaware Alcoholic Beverage Server certificate.
• Must successfully complete all required employment forms.
• Must be able to deliver the highest level of customer service according to the policies and procedures and customer service standards set by the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation.
• Must have a good work ethic and the ability to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
