Faith Christian Academy is a growing Christian, classical school serving approximately 400 students (PK–12) in a collaborative, family-engaged model. The Director of Development plays a crucial role in advancing the mission, vision, and financial stability of Faith Christian Academy. The Senior Development Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing fundraising strategies to support the organization’s mission and financial goals. This role focuses on cultivating and soliciting major gifts, building long-term donor relationships, and collaborating with leadership to expand philanthropic support.


Key Responsibilities Include:

Major Gift Fundraising

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects and donors
  • Manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors (individuals, foundations, and corporations)
  • Develop personalized strategies for donor engagement and solicitation

Donor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with donors
  • Conduct regular meetings, visits, and communications with prospects
  • Ensure timely acknowledgment and stewardship of gifts

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute fundraising plans
  • Analyze fundraising data to inform strategy and improve outcomes

Campaign Management

  • Play a leadership role in capital campaigns and special initiatives
  • Assist in campaign planning, prospect identification, and solicitation strategies

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with executive leadership, board members, and volunteers
  • Support and guide junior development staff when applicable
