Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Craft persuasive, well-researched and tailored grant proposals in response to grant opportunities by writing narratives and requesting relevant information to incorporate from program and operations staff.
- Manage and plan assigned events including logistics, committees, sponsorships, and registration.
- Develop and implement strategies for online giving.
- Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential donors and partners.
- Manage the organization’s grant calendar including submission and reporting deadlines.
- Maintain donor database accuracy and integrity, including calendaring deadlines, logging donations, and generating and sending donor acknowledgements.
- Compile mailing lists through database reports and queries for communication and mailings (e.g., newsletter, direct mail appeals, etc.).
- Work closely with the program and marketing teams to gather stories to share in donor newsletters. Grant reports, etc.
- Assist with the solicitation, pick up, and acknowledgement of in-kind donations.
- Complete/submit donor state tax credit applications and maintain tax credit records, as needed.
- Assist the Director of Development with the creation and implementation of the annual development plan.
- Performs various other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
- Two years minimum experience with professional fundraising events, donor engagement, and/or volunteer coordination.
- Experience with Donor Perfect preferred, but not required.
REASONING ABILITY AND COMPUTER SKILLS
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- E-mail, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, Donor Perfect data entry
WORK AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While this position is hybrid after first 3 months of onboarding, the majority of the time this position works primarily in an office setting at the PreventEd agency location with possible travel in the community. Therefore, you must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The physical requirements of this job include: sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs on a regular basis; lifting up to 25 lbs.; pulling and /or pushing on occasion. PreventEd will determine if reasonable accommodation can be made.
