Behind every successful remodeling project is someone who keeps the details organized, communication flowing, and the entire team moving in the same direction.

SJ Janis Company is looking for a highly organized Project Coordinator to support our Production Team from project kickoff through warranty. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing details, coordinating multiple moving parts, and using technology to keep projects on schedule.

You'll work closely with our Production Manager, Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, becoming the central point of coordination that helps every project run more efficiently.

What You'll Do

As Project Coordinator, you'll support every phase of the remodeling process while helping our production team stay organized and proactive.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Manage Buildertrend project setup, updates, and ongoing project administration
  • Coordinate permit applications, approvals, and project documentation
  • Prepare project schedules and assist with production planning
  • Organize project files, plans, specifications, contracts, and job documentation
  • Coordinate material orders, specialty products, and vendor communication
  • Support Project Managers with change orders, project tracking, and scheduling
  • Track project milestones and ensure critical tasks stay on schedule
  • Coordinate communication between office staff, field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and homeowners
  • Manage warranty requests and service projects after project completion
  • Help improve operational workflows and maintain accurate project records
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, office management, or a similar role
  • Experience in residential remodeling or construction is strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and manage construction software
  • Buildertrend experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent follow-through
  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional customer service
