About the role:

As a Product Development and Operations Manager for the eVinci microreactor you will develop and shape our technology into a product developed through rapid iteration and continuous improvement. This is not a traditional product management role given the unique nature of nuclear microreactor development. You will have elements of product operations, product development and program management for engineered products. The role mostly focuses on hardware with some elements of software development regarding control and monitoring systems. This is an individual contributor role.

You will report to the Chief Engineer, eVinci Technology and work a remote role with the expectation to be in the Pittsburgh area ~25%.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with chief technology officer, chief engineer, advanced reactor director and technical leadership to manage roadmaps and integrate product development plans.
  • Manage the product roadmap and collaborate with teams responsible for implementing the development of technology, systems, and components into the product.
  • Be the central integration leader across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, licensing, commercialization, and program management tasks to lead delivery of the eVinci product roadmap.
  • Track main product metrics and developmental achievements and deliver insights to leadership.
  • Accountable for agreement and product readiness decisions governing technology maturation and transition to production.
  • Oversee product lifecycle execution process from concept, technology maturation, prototyping, qualification, manufacturing scale-up, deployment, and continuous improvement
  • Support product industrialization efforts including manufacturing readiness, factory capability development, automation strategy, supply chain maturation, and cost reduction programs.
  • Integrate with licensing, safety, and regulatory organizations to ensure product development activities support regulatory approval and commercialization goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or product management.
  • 8+ years of applicable experience
  • Product launch experience
  • Experience with applied R&D or engineering or manufacturing of new products.
  • Experience with scaled manufacturing of engineered products in challenging fields such as automotive or aerospace.
  • Experience in project management, Agile or hybrid methodologies, to ensure operations to define and deliver products are completed.
  • Knowledgeable in Design for Manufacturing and Industrial engineering concepts with hands-on experience delivering hardware.
