We are looking for you, Commercial Operations Coordinator, to join our Commercial Operations team in Houston, TX.
The Commercial Operations Team coordinates all logistics and operations for renewable and petroleum product shipments, while also managing customer service and terminal operations. This position reports to the Operations Manager and plays a key role in day-to-day supply, sales, and trading operations involving marine and land deliveries.
You will collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders globally. Our work emphasizes accountability, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Schedule and coordinate movements of SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel). The main purpose of these tasks is to coordinate cargo movements related to physical oil contracts, both internally and externally - from planning of the delivery to invoicing
  • Coordination of terminal operations, utilizing various modes of transport, including truck, into wing, pipeline and marine
  • Cooperation with suppliers and vendors in the areas of commercial operations, delivery planning and scheduling, invoicing and payments, quality and quantity monitoring, sustainability documentation and other daily operational matters
  • Coordination of commercial matters with sales, legal, logistics, technical support, finance, risk management and other internal stakeholders
  • Maintain and keep desk instructions up to date
  • Share live information with all relevant stakeholders to minimize exposure and optimize contract performance
  • Perform inventory management and reconciliation in compliance with Neste principles and processes
  • Capability of understanding operational costs and drivers of commercial trade and associated P&L
  • Responsible for quality and quantity monitoring and loss control

  • Degree in business or similar studies, and/or several years of experience in a corresponding position in the petroleum industry
  • Good understanding/knowledge of the petroleum industry
  • Experience in commercial operations and with different modes of transportation in international oil trade is a benefit
  • Knowledge of renewable fuels and raw material supply is a plus
  • Hands on with different IT-systems, experience with ERP systems (especially with SAP and DistX), Google office products and Salesforce is a plus
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, other languages are an asset
  • Strong team player and excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as customer service attitude
  • Attention to details; accuracy in daily operations is a must
