We are seeking an experienced fully remote Software Development Manager to join our Software Development organization and play a key leadership role in building the next generation of our modern Data Acquisition System (DAS) platform. This position blends people leadership, technical oversight, and hands‑on contribution in a fast‑moving, collaborative Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of experienced software engineers, fostering accountability, growth, and high performance.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA, Product Managers, and Business Analysts within an Agile environment and frequent release cycles.
  • Own the end‑to‑end software development lifecycle—from planning and estimation through delivery and post‑release support.
  • Partner with QA leaders and technical stakeholders to ensure high quality, stability, and on‑time delivery of software releases.
  • Define and uphold development standards while championing best practices in design, testing, performance, and maintainability; drive continuous improvements across processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Contribute hands‑on through architectural guidance, code reviews, debugging, and targeted implementation support when needed.
  • Promote a culture of learning, innovation, and adoption of modern and AI‑powered technologies.
  • Guide the team in designing and delivering scalable, reusable architecture components shared across multiple products.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development to build and retain high‑performing engineering teams.
  • Establish and track team metrics related to quality, delivery, and operational excellence, using data to drive improvements aligned with company values.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, with hands‑on experience delivering product features in Agile environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing software development teams delivering enterprise or customer‑facing products.
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft development technologies such as C#, .NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server, and modern UI frameworks.
  • Demonstrated project management skills including planning, estimation, execution, risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and support team members, address performance issues, and effectively resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) combined with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
