(FM2U) is a Cleveland-based nonprofit organization committed to protecting and empowering the future by supporting youth, families, and aspiring professionals through evidence-based practices, research, and community-centered programming. FM2U offers a supportive, hands-on learning environment for individuals interested in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, social impact, and community engagement.

Position Overview

The Fundraising Coordinator Intern will support FM2U’s fundraising and development efforts by helping to design, organize, and strengthen systems that support sustainable funding. This opportunity is ideal for college students or emerging professionals interested in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, social entrepreneurship, or portfolio development.

Interns are encouraged to focus on areas aligned with their interests and career goals. While the scope of work is broad, responsibilities are flexible and tailored to the intern’s strengths.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising plan that supports organizational sustainability and program growth
  • Support the creation and organization of fundraising systems and tracking tools
  • Research and identify new fundraising opportunities, including grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donors
  • Assist with proposal development and grant writing for foundation, corporate, and government funders
  • Help identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with current and prospective donors and partners
  • Support fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and special projects
  • Track fundraising progress and assist with reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to promotional content and fundraising communications that increase awareness of FM2U’s mission and impact
  • Assist with expanding FM2U’s fundraising network and partnerships
  • Participate in team meetings and planning sessions as needed
  • Represent FM2U professionally in communications with donors and partners
