Job Description:

Department Overview

The Specialized Reporting and Solutions Management (SRSM) team within Finance is responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and advisory services across specialized segment level scope. The team partners closely with Finance leadership, Segment CFOs, and enterprise stakeholders to provide insights that support strategic decision-making, financial performance management, and operational excellence.

Within this mandate, the team provides dedicated Finance support for Global Compensation employee benefit and compensation programs, working in close partnership with Human Resources, Finance, and Treasury and Balance Sheet Management stakeholders to ensure alignment between program strategies and financial outcomes.

Role Summary

The Manager, Specialized Finance reports to the Senior Group Manager, Specialized Finance SRSM.

The role is responsible for preparing accurate analysis, supporting monthly and quarterly reporting processes, maintaining strong documentation and controls, and partnering with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.

The role operates with sound judgment and strong attention to detail, contributing to executive-ready reporting materials and supporting the Senior Manager in managing financial risks, control requirements, and stakeholder deliverables.

Job Accountabilities:

Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop effective working relationships with HR, Finance, Treasury and Balance Sheet Management, actuaries, auditors, and other internal partners.

  • Coordinate information requests, deliverables, and issue follow-ups with stakeholders to support timelines and reporting quality.

  • Communicate complex financial matters clearly and professionally, adapting messaging for different stakeholder groups.

Financial Analysis, Reporting & Planning

  • Support end-to-end accounting and reporting activities for executive compensation, share-based compensation, employee benefits, and related financial close requirements.

  • Translate financial data into clear insights and practical recommendations for review by the Senior Manager and senior stakeholders.

  • Support planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for employee benefit and compensation programs in scope.

  • Execute specialized finance activities, including:

    • Monthly and quarterly financial close processes

    • Quarterly and annual note disclosures in accordance with IFRS

    • Hedging executive compensation equity awards

    • Annual setting of assumptions for defined benefit plans; and

  • Act as liaison with internal audit and external stakeholders including actuaries and auditors.

Risk, Governance & Controls

  • Maintain strong financial controls and reporting integrity.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and regulatory expectations.

  • Act as a key control owner for risk roles, particularly related to Regulatory Compliance Management, End-User Computing, Sarbanes-Oxley, and GL Account Reconciliation and Attestation Policy.

Enterprise Initiatives & Transformation

  • Drive process improvement and efficiency.

  • Identify financial risks, emerging issues, and control gaps, and drive timely resolution.

  • Leverage AI, automation, and workflow solutions to streamline financial processes, reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and enhance reporting accuracy.

Job Requirements:

  • CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.

  • Working knowledge of financial reporting, planning and analysis, internal controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory environments.

  • Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams and business partners.

  • Curiosity and innovation mindset with a proven ability to leverage Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and Power Automate and VBA/SQL to drive automation, enhance analytics, transform finance processes, and improve stakeholder experiences.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders at various levels of seniority.

  • Proven analytical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail and high personal standards for accuracy.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex environment with autonomy and adapt well to changing priorities.
