We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager. TheFinance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and compliance with our real estate and construction division. This role plays an important role in ensuring financial integrity, supporting business decisions, and optimizing financial performance. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires regular onsite presence at our 1123 Leslie St office location.

How you will contribute:

  • Financial Management & Reporting
    • Oversee all accounting operations related to real estate and construction projects including GL, AP/AR, job costing, and fixed assets.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and project-specific financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and applicable regulatory standards.
    • Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Manage external audits and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls and financial procedures to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk.
    • Facilitate the partnership, corporate tax return on annal basis
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models for ongoing and upcoming real estate and construction projects.
    • Track performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Cash Flow & Project Financing
    • Monitor cash flow and funding needs for active and planned developments.
    • Work closely with lenders, investors, and project stakeholders on financing requirements, draw schedules, and covenant compliance.
    • Collaborate with development, legal, and operations teams on contracts, project costing, and reporting.


What you bring to the table:

  • Must have University Degree/College Diploma in Business/Finance/Economics
  • Canadian CPA / CFA designation required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Finance Manager role
  • Prior experience in real estate development, construction, or property management is required.
  • Strong understanding of project-based accounting, cost tracking, and real estate financing structures.
  • Strong communication skills and people management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Experienced in accounting software, Oracle experience is an asset
