Job description

Job Summary

The Finance Intern will play a key role within Dana’s Finance and Accounting Department, contributing meaningfully to various projects throughout the duration of the internship. At the conclusion of the program, the intern will present their impacts and outcomes to the Finance Executive Management Team, showcasing their work and the skills they've developed.

This internship is designed to provide a strong understanding of the Finance and Accounting functions to which the intern is assigned. It also serves as a pipeline for future full-time opportunities within Dana’s rotational Finance Development Program.

Throughout the internship, the Finance Intern will engage with team members across all levels of the organization, building collaborative relationships with plant controllers, internal departments, and cross-functional product groups.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reports
  • Creation of analysis for reconciliation and journal entry support
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Running reports and analyzing details from various ERP systems (i.e. SAP/Oracle)
  • Other ad hoc projects to support both corporate and plant-level finance teams
  • Communicate results with various levels of management
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions
Education and Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to learn and build computer proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Word.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Uncompromising judgment towards confidentiality & business ethics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Required Education:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
