Job description

The Sr. Director, Development Finance is responsible for the financial strategy, underwriting, and execution support for new development, large-scale capital projects, and M&A activity.

Responsibilities
  • Lead financial underwriting and valuation of new development projects and major capital investments.
  • Partner with Development, Operations, Sales and Legal to structure deals that optimize returns and manage risk.
  • Lead or support sourcing, evaluation and execution of acquisitions, divestitures and strategic partnerships.
  • Coordinate diligence efforts across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with integration teams to ensure financial assumptions translate into execution.
  • Lead financial modeling, valuation and deal structuring for all developer and M&A deals.
  • Collaborate with Treasury to finance, manage capital structures for development.
  • Develop investment committee materials and board presentations.
  • Provide scenario analysis and decision support for longโ€‘term growth strategy.
  • Lead a small team of professionals and provide development opportunities.
  • Perform other duties or adโ€‘hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance or accounting; Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • 10+ yearsโ€™ experience in a leadership capacity, with expertise in development finance, corporate development, investment banking, private equity or related fields.
  • Strong experience underwriting realโ€‘estate or assetโ€‘heavy development projects.
  • Direct M&A experience (buyโ€‘side and/or sellโ€‘side).
  • Hospitality, timeshare industry experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to think and act strategically while executing tactically to ensure timely outcomes.
  • Mastery of progressive financial modeling and valuation methodologies and sound general financial management practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with ability to establish and maintain valueโ€‘added relationships.
  • Detail oriented and process focused with evidence of driving measurable results within established timelines.
  • Strong business acumen, judgment, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastโ€‘paced environment, manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively.
