Position Purpose
Provides administrative support to frontline fundraisers on the new alumni team while assisting in the management of class fundraising with an emphasis on the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of top Dartmouth College Fund prospects to raise the maximum amount of unrestricted, current-use dollars for Dartmouth College. Provides strategic and logistical support for the Senior Class Gift program, with opportunities to gain experience supporting individual class fundraising as capacity and departmental needs allow.

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
* Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
* Three years of experience in a complex college or university development operation; or the equivalent
* Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including ability to prioritize and respond appropriately to multiple projects and deadlines
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Sound judgment and strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact with a diverse group of people internal and external to Dartmouth College, including volunteers and prospective donors
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; database management software; comfort with learning new software as needed
* Strong skills in project management, presentations, writing, and proofreading
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to respond appropriately to pressures and changes in priorities and schedules
* Integrity with discretion and confidentiality with donor-related matters
Note: Employment will be contingent upon possession of a valid U.S. or Canadian driver's license and continued qualification as an Approved Driver under the Dartmouth College Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Assists fundraisers with solicitation assignments and manages complex database programs in daily operations to organize, extract, and synthesize data for timely and accurate reporting and content creation supporting the tracking and assessment of volunteer and solicitation work. Coordinates creative design and marketing for newsletters, solicitations, and other mailings. Assists officers and volunteers in closing open pledges by fiscal year end through phone outreach, emails, or correspondence. Coordinates and processes alumni gifts and pledge cards, and researches and communicates necessary gift corrections with alumni. Attends various events and meetings to provide support and leads conference calls with volunteers when Dartmouth College Fund staff are unavailable. Coordinates travel for self and officers with post-trip follow-up and expense processing. Provides essential strategic and logistical support for the Senior Class Gift program alongside the Assistant Director.

In support of fundraising mission, researches, identifies, and informs team of fundraising opportunities for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of top Dartmouth College Fund prospects to meet fundraising participation and dollar goals. Partners with fundraisers in the recruitment, management, and training of fundraising class volunteers. Serves as a knowledgeable resource for class volunteers in areas of campaign priorities, procedures, special reports, gift processing, crediting policies, etc., and serves as a liaison between staff, volunteers, donors, prospects, and others to encourage best practices. Organizes stewardship and engagement communications for volunteers and prospects to ensure they are properly thanked and recognized for their contributions and service.
