Job Summary:
CK Contractors and Development is hiring an Equipment Rental Coordinator. This is an hourly, non-exempt position responsible for ensuring that crews have the right machinery, at the right time, in the right place to keep our projects on schedule and maintain customer service. This position is the heartbeat of our equipment operations and requires the
organizational skills and industry know-how to directly impact on our ability to deliver high-quality work
on time and on budget.
Essential Tasks:
• Coordinates the scheduling, delivery, and return of rental equipment for multiple job sites.
• Maintains accurate records of rental agreements, equipment usage, and maintenance schedules.
• Serves as the main contact between our field crews, vendors, and internal teams.
• Negotiate rental rates and terms with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency.
• Monitor equipment availability and proactively source replacements or additional units when needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards for all rented machinery.
• Assist with inventory tracking and reporting to support project planning.
Qualifications
• Experience in equipment rental coordination, dispatch, or logistics, preferably in construction, land clearing, or grading.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, graders, etc.) and their application.
• Proficiency with scheduling software, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy of information; excellent organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills; Experience with MS Excel and MS Word.
• Professional work demeanor; Ability to work within and promote a strong team environment
across all divisions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with vendors, field crews and
management.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to safety.
Education and Experience
• College education preferred but not required if your industry knowledge outweighs your education level.
• The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of heavy equipment management experience; heavy equipment mechanic skills a plus.
