Were looking for a full-time Development Communications Manager to join our animal shelter. As part of the development team, youll have have the opportunity to make a difference within the community!
What youll do:

Annual Campaign and Direct Response Communications
  • Work in partnership with Development Operations Director to ensure appropriate audience segmentation and accurate data capture for responses to print and digital appeals; track results to provide insights to inform future campaigns
  • Oversee internal workflow and production for development communications including acknowledgments, direct mail, newsletters, impact reports, campaign updates, and programmatic collateral

Social Media and Digital Engagement
  • Serve as the primary internal coordinator for development-related social media content and scheduling across platforms
  • Ensure consistency of voice, branding, and fundraising calls-to-action across digital channels
Operational and departmental support
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including printers, mail houses, and digital partners, ensuring quality product, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of donor fundraising, stewardship and cultivation events in cooperation with the Signature Events Manager
What were looking for:
  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in fundraising communications, annual giving, or nonprofit development.

  • Experience working with social media on strategy and content creation.

  • Experience working with email marketing platforms, donor CRM systems and segmentation strategies.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

  • Light physical effort, including lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
