Job description

At Orion180, we don't just stand out for what we do; we shine because of how we do it. Our mission is to deliver an exceptional insurance experience through innovative technology, unparalleled customer service, and a comprehensive suite of products. Our vision is to be the premier global provider of insurance solutions and redefine the insurance industry.
Orion180 is proud to call three vibrant cities home. Our headquarters on Florida's stunning Space Coast in Melbourne offers an exceptional quality of life, with affordable housing, excellent transportation, and close proximity to major cities like Orlando, Tampa, and Miami. Our Draper, Utah, location, nestled in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley, connects us to a rapidly growing tech ecosystem and provides access to the outdoor lifestyle and natural beauty the region is known for.
Join our team as a Creative Director, Brand & Communications
Orion180 is hiring a Creative Director to lead and elevate our Brand & Communications function, ensuring our brand is expressed with clarity, consistency, and distinction across all channels and key customer and agent touchpoints.
We have recently completed a brand refresh, with a defined manifesto, purpose, and voice already in place. This role is about bringing that foundation to life at a high level: refining, scaling, and translating it into compelling creative and messaging across campaigns and channels.
You will operate as a direct partner to the SVP of Marketing, owning creative direction, campaign development, and production-especially across video and unified marketing efforts. The focus is on raising creative quality, sharpening execution, and building a strong and efficient creative engine that supports both brand and growth.
We are targeting a Director-level hire. Exceptional candidates who are slightly earlier in their career may be considered at the Creative Manager level, with a defined path to Director based on performance. If you bring a balance of creative thinking, strong execution, and sound judgment, we want to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Brand & Messaging Stewardship
  • Apply and evolve the existing brand voice, tone, and positioning across all communications
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all customer-facing touchpoints
  • Refine messaging to improve clarity, impact, and differentiation over time

Creative Direction & Campaign Development
  • Lead development of results-driven campaigns aligned with brand strategy
  • Generate ideas that are distinctive, engaging, and strategically grounded
  • Elevate creative beyond category norms while staying true to brand direction

Video & Creative Production Leadership
  • Own end-to-end video ad production (concept, scripting, storyboarding, shoot, edit)
  • Direct internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality creative
  • Ensure creative balances brand storytelling with performance objectives

Creative Operations & Scale
  • Build and manage a scalable creative production process
  • Establish workflows that support both ongoing content needs and larger campaigns
  • Improve efficiency while maintaining a consistently high standard

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Growth Marketing to align creative with acquisition goals
  • Support Partnerships & Activations with strong storytelling and assets
  • Ensure Brand contributes effectively across all marketing initiatives

Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor designers, copywriters, and external partners
  • Provide clear direction and feedback to maintain quality and consistency
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • 8+ years in creative, brand, or advertising roles
  • Experience at a top-tier agency and/or high-growth in-house brand preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality creative and unified campaigns
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and execution (video preferred)
  • Experience managing creative teams and external agencies
  • Ability to develop strong campaign ideas and creative concepts
  • Experience in video production (script → shoot → edit)

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
