HD Supply is a subsidiary of Home Depot and one of the largest wholesale distributors inthe U.S. We provide a broad range of products (MRO (Maintenance/repair/operations, janitorial, sanitation) to approximately 300,000 customers ranging from Multifamily, Institutional, Hospitality, Trade, Government Housing, Healthcare, Building Services and Education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Reside within a 50 mile radius of either New Braunfels, TX or Jacksonville, FL

  • 1+ years of business development experience

  • 2+years of inside sales experience

  • Experience with Salesforce

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Powerpoint/Excel)

  • Attention to detail, analytical, communication skills

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Job Summary

Generates new business opportunities by qualifying leads and prospecting through existing business accounts to engage with potential buyers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Prospects, builds, and manages a sales pipeline through high volume, outbound calling.
  • Documents and maintains all activity within the customer relationship management system to track activity, measure results, and ensure data integrity.
  • Works with leadership and sales operations to identify gaps in processes, trends, and potential improvements.
  • Generates profitable growth thru quota attainment.
  • Facilitates a smooth handoff to the inside or outside sales team once accounts have met the assigned sales quota.
  • Research leads and existing business accounts to provide insightful dialogue that promotes supplies and services suited to create value in a relationship with the prospective client.

  • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
