Position Summary

The Director of Staff Development is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing educational programs to ensure clinical staff maintain the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to provide high-quality patient care. This role plays a key part in regulatory compliance, onboarding, ongoing training, and workforce development.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and conduct orientation programs for newly hired staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor ongoing clinical education and in-service training programs.
  • Ensure staff competency and compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Maintain accurate education, certification, and training records.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and best clinical practices.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for staff development.
  • Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance activities.
Qualifications
  • Current California RN or LVN license in good standing.
  • Current California DSD Certification required.
