Reports To: General Manager / Assistant ManagerPosition Summary:

The Shift Lead is responsible for supporting the restaurant’s daily operations and leading hourly team members during assigned shifts. Working in coordination with the General and Assistant Managers, this role ensures the restaurant operates efficiently and delivers an exceptional guest experience. The Shift Lead must be proficient in all crew-level positions and serve as a role model in service, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:Operational Support & Leadership:
  • Lead and manage assigned areas of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
  • Ensure the restaurant is properly staffed and organized according to shift schedules through efficient task delegation, break rotations, and job assignments.
  • Supervise team members to maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and service.
  • Training & Development:
  • Assist in onboarding and training new crew members in all areas of restaurant operations.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to hourly employees to support ongoing development and performance improvement.
  • Customer Service & Guest Experience:
  • Ensure all guest service standards are met or exceeded, including quality, value, and cleanliness.
  • Handle minor guest complaints with professionalism and escalate more serious concerns to management when necessary.
  • Sales & Promotions:
  • Support the execution of instore promotions and marketing efforts by ensuring proper team communication and guest engagement at the point of sale.
  • Cash Management:
  • Complete shiftbased cash handling procedures and accountability reports with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication.
  • Maintain consistent communication with management regarding shift performance, employee concerns, and operational issues.
