Job description

THIS POSITION IS FOR UPPERCLASSMEN ONLY. FRESHMEN ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR DEPARTMENT POSITIONS.

Expected hours of work per week: 10-20, depending on needs.

Work Location & Hours: Kirk / 8am-4:30pm M-F

Qualifications for Position:

  • Previous work experience in the development office is strongly preferred - either at Covenant or a similar organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, writing skills, and a high level of organization.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities:

Partners Campaign

  1. Schedule meetings
  2. Communicate with committee members if and when appropriate
  3. Research student stories for the campaign newsletter as needed
  4. Maintain WS2020
  5. Pull campaign next steps report for MGOs
  6. Help prep for Phase 2 campaign visits

Development Office

  1. Add notes to Slate for MGOs
  2. Assist with custom stewardship gifts
  3. Learn how to run reports from Slate for MGOs
  4. Other projects, including mailings and others, will be done as needed.
  5. Assist the operations team on an as-needed basis.

Resume skills development (NACE Competencies required by employers) to be developed

  • Career & Self-Development including donor relations, collaborating across various groups on and off campus, minute taking, attending board and donor meetings, etc.
  • Communication in the form of written, verbal, and other forms of communication through digital methods.
