Role Overview
Under the general direction of the Director Supply Chain, this position is responsible for leading and coordinating the development, commercialization, and lifecycle management of new and existing product categories supporting company growth objectives. The Product Developer serves as the primary cross-functional project lead for product development initiatives, coordinating efforts across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Compliance, Operations, Engineering, and external suppliers to successfully bring products from concept through commercialization.
This position combines product development, sourcing coordination, commercialization planning, and project management responsibilities to support profitable and operationally executable product launches. The role is responsible for ensuring new products align with customer expectations, manufacturing capabilities, compliance requirements, operational timelines, and financial objectives. This position works closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure supplier alignment, sourcing feasibility, cost targets, inventory strategies, and production readiness throughout the product development process.

  • Leads new product development and product enhancement projects from concept through commercialization and production launch.

  • Coordinates cross-functional product development activities between Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Compliance, Engineering, Operations, and external suppliers.

  • Develops and manages product development timelines, milestone tracking, commercialization schedules, and launch readiness activities.

  • Collaborates with Procurement and Sourcing teams to identify qualified suppliers, evaluate sourcing feasibility, and support supplier selection activities.

  • Supports supplier communication and coordination related to prototypes, costing, sampling, specifications, production capabilities, lead times, and commercialization readiness.

  • Partners with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to support product costing analysis, margin targets, inventory strategies, MOQ evaluations, and operational execution plans.

  • Uses customer insights, market analysis, trend evaluation, and competitive research to identify product opportunities and support strategic recommendations.

  • Coordinates prototype development, product revisions, sample evaluations, testing requirements, and commercialization approvals.

  • Ensures product specifications, artwork requirements, packaging details, and manufacturing requirements are clearly documented and communicated.

  • Collaborates with Compliance and Quality teams to ensure products meet applicable testing, regulatory, customer, and safety requirements prior to production release.

  • Supports operational readiness activities including sourcing transitions, production planning alignment, lead time management, packaging approvals, and launch execution.

  • Assists with development and standardization of product development processes, templates, specifications, and project documentation.

  • Tracks and communicates project status, risks, timeline changes, and commercialization updates to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives related to product development workflow, supplier collaboration, sourcing execution, and commercialization processes.

  • Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures, and Safety Requirements.

  • Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
