About this role

The Geothermal Product Manager – Product Marketing will work with product managers, engineers, factory and other internal departments cross-functionally to provide product management and application solutions to distributors, dealers and/or customers to help increase sales, revenue and margins. This role plays a key role in launch of the upcoming2025 refrigerant change. The successful candidate must have the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to leverage leadership, decision-making abilities, and technical aptitude to ensure products meet customer needs. Foundational skills for this role include project management, public speaking, general technical aptitude and general business management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the expert in the Geothermal products and markets
  • Determine strategies to enhance market acceptance and overall sales of Geothermal products.
  • Communicate and gain support for product vision and strategy and drive organizational alignment to drive execution of product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Evaluate and propose product growth opportunities with strong strategic company value and viable success potential that will drive sales growth and market share.
  • Works closely with other product managers, regional sales managers, product engineers, factory, product launch and other internal departments to provide product and application support to distributors, dealers and/or customers to help increase sales, revenue, and margins.
  • Regularly conduct competitive comparisons, product gap analysis and voice of customer gathering to understand and drive robust product value through features & benefits
  • Create messaging and tools to assist sales, distributors and dealers gain market share of our products
  • Leverage input from multiple channels, both internal and external, to solidly define feature requirements.
  • Develop pre-sale technical materials that aid in the selection, application and sales of residential Geothermal products.
  • Clearly articulate product features and value in public speaking events such as distributor, dealer, sales, and recruitment meetings.
  • Research, propose and execute product modification projects from conception through launch
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the residential HVAC industry, the company’s products, and sales channels
  • Establish positive working relationships with the field sales force and key leaders in the Geothermal Space and be viewed as an expert regarding the products and application opportunities
  • Responsible for product launches and phase-in/out for projects with significant scope and complexity.
  • Juggle multiple issues, set expectations and prioritize accordingly.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 + years of experience with either HVAC product knowledge, Voice of Customer, product marketing, training or a technical background in engineering
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business, marketing or engineering
  • Must have fluent skills with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Clear understanding of basic marketing principles
  • Understanding of residential HVAC applications and market dynamics
  • Ability to work in self-directed manner across multiple business units to identify needs of the organization and/or customer, articulate necessary proposals and see projects through to completion
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
  • Passion for customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations
  • Demonstrates self-initiative, sense of ownership, quality, and customer satisfaction orientation
  • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset
  • Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks, and implement progressive, sustainable solutions
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience
