Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience leading an engineering team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AS and ISO standards; experience with NADCAP processes preferred.
  • Experience with welding, alloys, brazing, and heat treatment processes is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies such as FMEA, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Engineering Team through all phases of product development and production to achieve operational and customer goals.
  • Evaluate workloads, assign engineering resources, and ensure projects meet customer production schedules and quality expectations.
  • Develop and implement engineering department objectives that align with overall business unit strategies and performance goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product quality, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiency while evaluating cost savings and process optimization initiatives.
  • Review product designs and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with engineering standards, customer requirements, and applicable specifications.
  • Support quoting and new business activities by collaborating with the Business Development Team and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Manage employee performance, training, development, and staffing activities to build a high-performing engineering team.
