Three maverick farmers started it all - and we've been making our own way ever since.Ocean Spray Cranberries is looking for a Plant Engineering Manager to join our Plant team! In this role, you will be responsible for leading plant engineering projects. You will manage system improvement projects, direct capital planning, and lead continuous improvement initiatives for engineering projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production processes, serve as a member of the plant leadership team, and drive key improvement opportunities. Additionally, you will support new product production capabilities and manage plant engineering teams in deploying projects.

A Day in the Life...

Lead and manage the design, development, and the implementation of technical systems improvements that support manufacturing reliability, process capability and cost objectives. Direct engineering/, process control, capital planning, and support systems assuring that the necessary resources are committed to meet the business needs. Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering to generate improvement plans that feature both short and long-term improvements, with and without capital investment. Support sustainability through optimized energy management and packaging reduction initiatives. Responsible for financial management of projects. Develop and sustain capability to rapidly ramp-up new products, packages and processes to insure competitiveness in the marketplace. Drive key initiatives throughout the facility in the areas of fixed asset management, plant layout & flow manufacturing, line constraint optimization, FDA/GMP/AIB/SQF compliance, safety and automation. Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring budgeting, planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating. Serve as a Change Agent responsible for elevating staff member's capabilities for the benefit of the organization. Serve as key member of the plant leadership team in developing the plant's strategic direction, establishing priorities and allocating resources. Work effectively with plant functional managers to develop and maintain a positive employee relations environment. Provides management of employees, directly and/or indirectly, to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management. If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participate in negotiations, grievances or other contract related activities and discussions.
